The Fox Who Got Lost is a new community play created by the brilliant minds behind Blueprint Arts, Laura Kavanagh and Ella Flewitt, working in collaboration with local families, residents, children and dance groups.
 

The project began at The Hive with four free weekly family arts workshops throughout August. Children and their families helped to create costumes, set pieces and large scale props that will become part of the finished production.
 

Alongside the creative workshops, Laura and Ella held a community consultation to gather ideas and hear from families interested in becoming more involved. Their contributions and experiences will help shape the script, the characters and the wider development of the play.
 

Community rehearsals will take place throughout September, bringing together participating families, local residents and dance groups to develop and perform the production.
 

At the heart of The Fox Who Got Lost is the belief that a community play should be made with the community. From the story and scenery to the costumes and performances, the production will reflect the imagination, ideas and creativity of the people taking part.
 

This is more than a performance. It is an opportunity for people of all ages to make something together, learn new skills, meet others and play an active part in Northfleet’s growing creative community.
 

Presented through The Hive, The Fox Who Got Lost will be an interactive and participatory production that invites the audience to become part of the experience. Families, children and adults will be encouraged to join in, respond and help bring the story to life.
